An Introduction To My Photography Studio
When it comes to photographing my wedding couples, I hold an incredible passion for life, love, and documenting the emotional moments that add meaning to their lives. My approach to photography is natural and relationship-oriented; I love to get to know my couples long before putting them in front of the lens. I want to hear all about your love story so I can tell it in light and color
My goals? I want to create a special vision together with you, immortalizing the bonds, emotions, and moments that can’t be re-lived or replaced. Beautiful photographs are emotional moments frozen in time for you to remember and revisit with family, fiends, or a quiet moment alone – and I strive to create images that will be cherished for many, many generations.
Aside from providing you with beautiful emotional portraits in a casual setting, engagement sessions allow us to get to know each other before the big day. Knowing what to expect from your photographer and feeling relaxed in front of the camera are both critical for photo success. During the engagement session, I love to work with you to find the styles, smiles, angles and poses that work best for you as a couple in a pressure-free setting. That way, when your wedding day comes around, we’ll have already practiced picture-taking together and everyone will know what to expect.
Engagement sessions are the time for you and your beloved to show your inner selves, your love for one another, and your favorite outfits in a relaxing and enjoyable environment. You are welcome to choose a location that speaks to you in a personal way or let me recommend a few of my favorite spots based on experience. Some couples choose that special spot where he proposed, others their favorite restaurant, winery, or flower field. I can’t wait to get you in front of the lens and bring out what makes you a special couple.
Over and over again I am asked what my favorite moment of photographing a wedding is; and every time my answer is the same; the moment the groom sees his beautiful bride for the very first time. There are no words to discribe the incredible emothion that flows between the couple during this special and fleeting moment, so I document it with images instead!
First Look photographs generally happen directly before the ceremony begins, but after the bride and groom have gotten dressed for the wedding. It’s an amazing thing to watch, and my clients are constantly telling me how meaningful the First Look images are for years to come.
Since there is generally very little time in-between events at a wedding, it is important to plan for a first look in the official wedding timeline. I am happy to make timeline suggestions and help you create a first look experience within your time budget. Although a first look might not be for every couple, I highly recommend them and absolutely love capuring this special moment for you to re-live again and again. It’s one of those moments that happens only once in a lifetime and your going to want images to remember it!
We remember life as a string of big events; epic happenings that define our lives and live on in family stories. Weddings are no different – the main focus in wedding planning is on the defining events – the kissing of the bride, cutting of the cake, father-daughter dancing, the bouquet toss. Yet, what about the moments in-between? What about the tiny, serendipitous small things that happen without planning, just a room full of love? What about a small touch, a smiling face, a kind word – in-between the big events?
These moments are what I love to capture. The moments that are often overlooked, but together make up the very emotional essence of a wedding. and of our lives. These moments are incredibly special – I strive to give them life and the importance they deserve. Moments you may not even notice at the time, but look back on later in photographs and cherish. Your final images will reflect not only the big happenings during your wedding, but all the little peices of the story along the way. This is my passion.
A good photographer isn’t an expense – it’s the best investment you can make when planning your wedding. Your photos and your heirloom album will live on for generations to enjoy.
I Like to keep my pricing simple, so I offer three collections to choose from based on your budget and timing needs. I am always willing to create custom packages to meet additional needs.
Communicating with my clients is a huge part of what I love so much about my business. I remain friends with many of my clients long after I’ve finished our initial sessions together (and enjoy continuing to document their lives!). I want to be here for you in every way possible. I encourage you to ask questions, suggest ideas, and play a hands-on roll in the planning process. The following is a list of way to get ahold of me, so you always feel cared for.
